Winter Storm in Alagna Valsesia
Winter Storm in Alagna Valsesia
During January 2021 Alagna was Buried in Snow. Some photos I captured of the winter scenes in Alagna Valsesia.
The New Year storm of January 2021 started just after New Years day and continued for a week thereafter. Over one metre of snow fell in the village, being the biggest dump of snow at village level for around 14 years. Roads in Valsesia were closed due to avalanche danger and much of the week was spent digging with whatever tools you had available.
In between daily digging sessions I managed to venture out and capture a some amazing photos of this rare winter event in Alagna Valsesia. Everything looks better in the snow!
