Case Study: A Branding and Marketing Photoshoot in Italy.
Habbot Shoes is a successful designer brand from Melbourne, Australia. They produce beautiful designer shoes in Italy for “individual women.” Founder and designer Annie Abbott visits Italy regularly for inspiration from the Italian fashion world, and to collaborate with her Italian manufacturer.
With the brand’s strong connection to Italy and the region of Le Marche, Habbot was keen to capture branding photography and marketing video of Annie while on business in Italy for an upcoming marketing campaign.
The aim was to capture content that was as natural and candid as possible; capturing Annie finding inspiration in Milan and of her close relationship with her artisan shoemakers in Le Marche.

Much of the success of Habbot footwear can be attributed to the relationship Annie has nurtured with her Italian partners and, the brand’s relationship to Italy. Combined with Annie’s natural passion and enthusiasm for her shoe brand, it’s a wonderful story to capture and share with the followers of Habbot and Annie.
As a photographer and entrepreneur, I love to connect with other entrepreneurs and business people who are visiting Italy, or based here. Italy is such a fantastic destination for use in marketing and story telling, and Annie’s real life story is a great example of that.

We aimed to capture as many natural and candid shots as we could in as many scenarios and locations as we could fit into a limited amount of time.
Marketing Campaign Video Shoot in Milano
An important aspect of the project was to capture vertical video for an upcoming marketing campaign. Shot throughout Milan and at the factory in Le Marche, we captured Annie in a lot of scenes, with professional audio, and B-roll, to be used for the upcoming social media marketing campaign.
Visiting diverse neighbourhoods of Milan, including Duomo, Via della Spiga, design shops, ancient ruins and parks, we captured all sorts of content and scenes to be used in a number of different ads and organic content.
